September 2021
A gentle and wholesome month. I started a project documenting outdoor swimming spaces, spent a lot of time cycling, made pasta from scratch for the first time (twice!), baked a 10 layer progressive pride flag rainbow cake, dressed up as Jo from Little Women for a party (no photos thanks) and saw a lot of theatre. I went for a sunset swim and a miniature train ride and stumbled across a butterfly house in the middle of East Sussex; come to think of it, it was perhaps a perfect month. I did not take many pictures.
favourite film: Death Becomes Her, for high camp and Meryl Streep
favourite book: I finished nothing, but started lots of incredible books - particularly Shon Faye’s The Transgender Issue
favourite TV: Vigil, the horrible submarine show. I will never go on a submarine but gosh will I watch a Season 2
favourite theatre: laughed and then endlessly wept in the theatre and on the tube home at Indecent at the Menier Chocolate Factory, reviewed by my companion here
