UCL x museum of data exhibition

I was awarded an honorarium to make work for a project pairing digital anthropologists with artists from the Slade School of Art, to create collaborative pieces exploring themes of power and representation. I worked with artist Julian Kowal on a piece exploring notions of privacy and ownership in ostensibly public spaces through physically juxtaposing the metadata of locations with their real-world counterparts. You can find out more about the project here.

“We are interested in notions of privacy and ownership in both analogue and digital spaces. In particular, we wanted to explore places that pose as public, while restricting those freedoms associated with public spaces.”
